You can’t help but be amazed by imposing mausoleums, mosques and mausoleums you will see in Uzbekistan. They really do live up to their previous grandeur, you might even say a little more than they should as some have been overly restored.
However, Uzbekistan is so much more than just historic buildings and silk road cities. This country is a vibrant place full of history and culture just waiting to be explored. We would love to return and explore those little nooks and crannies that most tourists don’t make it to. Some of the best places to see in Uzbekistan are away from the famous cities of Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva.
